Roma defender Cicinho will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on his knee.

Cicinho’s season is over after a scan confirmed that the AS Roma full-back ruptured the cruciate ligaments in his right knee during training, adding to their immediate concerns ahead of this week’s second leg with Arsenal FC.

Captain Francesco Totti and Cicinho left the field early as they were feeling some discomfort, according to the Corriere dello Sport: an alarm bell rings at Roma ahead of their Champions League match against Arsenal.
